HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam won four bronzes from the 2025 Asian U15 and U17 Boxing Championships which closed on April 30 in Jordan.
The medallists were Nguyễn Trọng Tiến, Võ Lan Anh, Lưu Thị Ngọc Hà and Hứa Nguyễn Anh Thi, who were all defeated in their categories' semi-final matches.
“Our boxers tried their best and showed their potential at the tournament. We appreciated their presence in the semi-finals which were remarkable results," said Đàm Công Điền, the team official.
The inaugural Asian U-15 and U-17 Boxing Championships, held in Amman, featured over 400 young athletes from 18 countries. These included both male and female boxers, showcasing the growing inclusivity of boxing in the region.
Vietnamese athletes' next competition will be in the Asian U22 Boxing Championships in Sri Lanka, May 10-24. VNS
