General Tô Lâm, Minister of Public Security, has urged police forces to ensure national security and social order while focusing on the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc’s has issued an order on social distancing, restricting people from leaving their homes and banning gatherings of more than two people in public. The order will apply nationwide for 15 days, starting Wednesday April 1, in order to limit the spread of COVID-19.
