Eight more recoveries from COVID-19 announced

Six patients at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, one in Quảng Nam Province and one more in Quảng Trị Province were announced to have recovered from COVID-19 on Friday.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam reported no new COVID-19 cases on Friday evening.

Six patients at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, one in Quảng Nam Province and one more in Quảng Trị Province were announced to have recovered from COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total of COVID-19 recoveries in Việt Nam to 999.

The six patients treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases are patients 867, 962, 1060, 1064, 1065 and 1066.

Patient 867, 63 years old, from Hải Dương, was hospitalised on August 11. He was one of the four critically ill patients treated at this hospital in the second phase of the pandemic in Việt Nam.

He had to be put on a ventilator but his condition improved on August 24.

He tested negative for SARS-nCoV-2 three times on September 19, 22, and 24.

The other five patients now have no fever, no coughing, no difficulty in breathing and in stable condition. They will continue to be quarantined and under home health monitoring for the next 14 days.

Patient 983 from Quảng Nam Province was given the all-clear on Friday.

Also, the last COVID-19 patient in Quảng Trị was announced to be fully recovered.
