Việt Nam records five new cases of COVID-19

Five more people in central Đà Nẵng City have tested positive for COVID-19 in Việt Nam, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control announces on Saturday evening.

HÀ NỘI — Five more people in central Đà Nẵng City have tested positive for COVID-19 in Việt Nam, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control announced on Saturday evening.

The total number of coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 1,014.

Patient 1,010 is a 52-year-old man who resides in Liên Chiểu District's Hòa Hiệp Bắc Commune. He had close contact with patient 958.

Patient 1011 is a 38-year-old woman in Thanh Khê District. She is a vendor at Tân Lập Market.

Patient 1,012 and 1,013 are also vendors at Siêu Thị Market in Chính Gián Commune in Thanh Khê District.

Patient 1,014 is a member of the management board of Lầu Đèn Market in Xuân Hà Commune, Thanh Khê District. The 60-year-old man lives in Xuân Hà Commune. 

All the patients are being treated at Hòa Vang Field Hospital.

Sixteen more patients at Hòa Vang Field Hospital were given the all-clear on Saturday evening, bringing the total number of successfully treated patients in Việt Nam to 563. — VNS
