ĐÀ NẴNG — Việt Nam recorded two new cases of COVID-19 in central Đà Nẵng City on Friday evening, increasing the national tally to 1,009.
One of the patients is a 75-year-old woman living in Hòa Vang District. She is the mother of another infected person (Patient No 780).
Another patient is a 47-year-old man living in Sơn Trà District who has three relatives infected with the coronavirus.
The two new patients are being treated at Hòa Vang Field Hospital.
Three patients recovered from COVID-19 at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases on Friday, including a 76-year-old man living on Hoàng Hoa Thám Street, Hà Nội.
The two others are a 13-year-old boy in northern Lạng Sơn Province living with three other family members infected with SARS-CoV-2; and a 35-year-old man from central Quảng Bình Province who returned from Equatorial Guinea.
The total number of recoveries in Việt Nam has reached 545.
There have been a total of 25 COVID-19-related fatalities with underlying medical conditions. — VNS
