Four killed, one injured in scooter crash

Four people were killed and one more injured after the single scooter they were all driving ploughed into the median of a main street in the city of Thái Nguyên, northern Thái Nguyên Province today.

THÁI NGUYÊN — Four people were killed and one more injured after the single scooter they were all driving ploughed into the median of a main street in the city of Thái Nguyên, northern Thái Nguyên Province today.

According to local police, 18-year-old Sầm Văn Thuần from Hòa An District, Cao Bằng Province was driving the motor scooter, carrying four others – two boys and two girls aged 15 to 18 – on Thống Nhất Street when his vehicle suddenly lost control and careened into the strip.

The accident claimed the lives of the three boys and a girl while leaving the other girl with a brain injury.

The cause of the crash is under further investigation. — VNS
