HÀ NỘI – Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính has directed ministries, agencies, local authorities, organisations, and individuals to immediately resume work after the Lunar New Year (Tết) holiday, focusing on unfinished tasks from 2024 and pending matters due to the holiday, to ensure that there is no disruption to production and business activities and socio-economic development.
In a directive, the Government leader asked for urgent, serious, synchronous and effective implementation of projects, tasks, and solutions outlined in resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government, especially a supplementary plan for socio-economic development in 2025, aiming for a growth rate of at least 8 per cent.
He emphasised the need to strongly promote production and business activities, create jobs and livelihoods for people, ensuring comprehensive, modern, inclusive, and sustainable social security, focusing on immediately implementing key tasks.
Attention must be paid to keeping a close watch on the supply and demand trends, as well as the prices of essential goods and services after Tet, thus promptly taking solutions to balance supply and demand and stabilise market prices, PM Chinh noted.
The PM also requested the resolute and effective streamlining of the organisational apparatus of agencies and organisations in accordance with the directions of the Party Central Committee, the NA, and the Government.
In addition, he called for the launch, promotion, and effective organisation of patriotic emulation movements and peak emulation campaigns, and efforts to excellently complete the political tasks and socio-economic development goals for 2025, especially the targets related to economic growth, cultural development, budget revenue, and combating smuggling, trade fraud, and tax evasion.
