High-speed boat service linking Cần Thơ and Côn Đảo relaunched

High-speed boat service between the Mekong Delta city of Cần Thơ and Côn Đảo Island off the coast of Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu Province was officially launched after one year of its trial operation.

CẦN THƠ — High-speed boat service between the Mekong Delta city of Cần Thơ and Côn Đảo Island off the coast of Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu Province was officially launched after one year of its trial operation.

Mai Linh Tây Đô JSC is managing the Mai Linh Express high-speed boat operation. The company started its operation with the first trip departing from Ninh Kiều Wharf in Cần Thơ to Đầm Wharf in Côn Đảo Island last week.

The Mai Linh Express passenger capacity is around 350 seats with three seat tiers, consisting of 252 normal, 72 business and 8 deluxe seats. It takes about four hours to travel from one wharf to another.

Prices for the tiers range from VNĐ750,000 to VNĐ1,500,000 per ticket.

Dương Tấn Hiển, vice chairman of the People’s Committee of Cần Thơ City, said that the new service would help with the city’s tourism and give tourists a whole new experience while travelling between the Mekong Delta and Côn Đảo Island and vice versa. —VNS.
