HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam confirmed 41,980 new COVID-19 patients on Saturday, including 12 imported infections.

Hà Nội continued to record the highest number of infections nationwide with 4,869 cases, followed by Bắc Ninh with 3,040 and Quảng Ninh with 1,990.

Other infections were recorded in Quảng Ninh (1,990), Hòa Bình (1,871), Thái Nguyên (1,852), Nam Định (1,798), Phú Thọ (1,567), Hải Phòng (1,555), Lào Cai (1,410), Vĩnh Phúc (1,394), Nghệ An (1,360), Hải Dương (1,328), Yên Bái (1,150), Bắc Giang (1,042), Sơn La (1,040), Thái Bình (992), Tuyên Quang (938), Thanh Hóa (930), Bình Định (924), Hồ Chí Minh City (849), Hưng Yên (743), Đà Nẵng (741), Quảng Bình (716), Khánh Hòa (696), Quảng Nam (658), Lạng Sơn (626), Đắk Lắk (605), Quảng Trị (518), Ninh Bình (478), Lâm Đồng (470), Bình Phước (427), Phú Yên (413), Đắk Nông (324), Hà Nam (303), Điện Biên (280), Cao Bằng (238), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (215), Lai Châu (204), Thừa Thiên Huế (163), Kon Tum (148), Hà Giang (139), Cà Mau (134), Quảng Ngãi (127), Kiên Giang (95), Bình Thuận (94), Đồng Nai (66), Bắc Kạn (65), Bình Dương (55), Bạc Liêu (51), Tây Ninh (50), Bến Tre (47), Trà Vinh (35), Long An (34), Đồng Tháp (32), Vĩnh Long (26), Cần Thơ (19), An Giang (13), Ninh Thuận (10), Hậu Giang (4), Sóc Trăng (4) and Tiền Giang (3).

The national case tally has now reached 2,740,293 since the start of the pandemic.

There are 3,017 patients in critical condition while an additional 65 deaths were recorded, taking the number of COVID-related fatalities to 39,423.

A total of 6,840 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 2,268,020.
