11,023 new COVID-19 cases recorded on Tuesday

Việt Nam registered 11,023 COVID-19 patients on Tuesday, the lowest daily rise since late November last year.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam registered 11,023 COVID-19 patients on Tuesday, the lowest daily rise since late November last year.

The country has had a total of 2,286,750 patients so far, ranking 31st out of 225 countries and territories worldwide.

Twelve of the new patients were imported and the remaining domestic. The new infections were reported in 55 out of 63 provinces and cities across the country.

7,303 infections were detected in the community.

The capital city of Hà Nội continued to lead the list with 2,705 transmissions.

Other localities that reported new cases were Đà Nẵng (783), Hải Phòng (496), Quảng Nam (475), Bình Định (444), Thanh Hóa (412), Phú Thọ (388), Hưng Yên (355), Bắc Ninh (342), Nam Định (330), Hải Dương (293), Nghệ An (270), Thái Nguyên (246), Hòa Bình (229), Bắc Giang (229), Vĩnh Phúc (207), Thái Bình (198), Ninh Bình (177), Lâm Đồng (173), Hà Nam (160), Hồ Chí Minh City (155), Bình Phước (154), Quảng Ninh (116), Quảng Bình (112), Lào Cai (106), Tây Ninh (105), Quảng Trị (98), Tuyên Quang (94), Cà Mau (93), Bến Tre (87), Hà Giang (85), Thừa Thiên Huế (84), Phú Yên (82), Sơn La (82), Quảng Ngãi (59), Đắk Nông (52), Kiên Giang (49), Điện Biên (44), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (43), Lai Châu (42), Khánh Hòa (42), Yên Bái (40), Hậu Giang (39), Bạc Liêu (37), Vĩnh Long (37), Long An (32), Bình Dương (29), Trà Vinh (27), Đồng Nai (21), Cao Bằng (15), Đồng Tháp (11), Bình Thuận (11), An Giang (10), Cần Thơ (4) and Tiền Giang (2).

Việt Nam has seen 185 cases of the Omicron variant, in HCM City (92), Quảng Nam (27), Quảng Ninh (20), Hà Nội (14), Khánh Hòa (11), Đà Nẵng (8 ), Kiên Giang (4), Thanh Hóa (2), Hải Dương (1), Hải Phòng (1), Long An (1), Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu (1), Bình Dương (1), Lâm Đồng (1) and Ninh Bình (1).

A total of 39,608 patients were declared recovered from the disease, taking the number of people given the all-clear to 2,062,058.

More than 181.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the country so far. — VNS
