HCM CITY — Fashion model Minh Tú of HCM City will represent Việt Nam at the Miss Supranational 2018 pageant in Poland in November.
The 27-year-old Tú is 1.78 metres tall. She was the runner-up at Asia’s Next Top Model 2017, a reality television show featuring models from Asian countries and territories.
She was one of three coaches for The Face 2017, a Vietnamese version of the American modeling reality TV show who find “the face” for a major brand, and one of three mentors at Asia’s Next Top Model 2018.
“I have a dream of competing at an international pageant. I’m honored to be offered this opportunity. I will do my best to shine at Miss Supranational 2018,” said Tú, who won the silver prize in Supermodel Vietnam 2013.
Tú will compete with 69 others from countries and territories from all over the world at the contest which will run from November 15 to December 7.
Miss Supranational was first organised in 2009 by the World Beauty Association from Panama. It became one of the six biggest pageants in the world.
The duties of Miss Supranational are to work for charitable causes as well as travel the world promoting tourism, goodwill among all nations and a healthy image. — VNS
