HÀ NỘI — The international Wolf Blass Saigon Rugby 10s tournament is scheduled to take place at RMIT University in HCM City on September 15-16.
The tournament is expected to attract the participation of 38 teams from more than 10 countries. The Grade A competition will see 17 teams battle it out for honors whilst there will be 16 teams taking to the field in the veteran’s competition. It is also pleasing to see all five female rugby teams return to compete this year.
Việt Nam are now well and truly on the map for touring international rugby teams, with many of them seeing it as an opportunity to not only play rugby, but to investigate the beauty of this country with extended holidays.
The event will be a family friendly affair with a supervised kids zone to allow parents some time to take in the games knowing that the kids are being well cared for.
The event is organised by the Al Fresco’s Group (AFG), in co-operation with the Wolf Blass and the Castelo Group, Hong Kong. This year marks the fourth consecutive year AFG have hosted the event.
Entrance is free and the action will start from 9am at RMIT’s stadium (702 Nguyễn Văn Linh, District 7). — VNS
