ĐÀ NẴNG —Famed Vietnamese and foreign artists and music bands will perform at the 8th Hennessy Artistry concert to be  held on June 9 in Đà Nẵng City .

Hennessy Artistry was first held in 2008 and has turned into an annual music event to entertain young music lovers in Việt Nam.

It accompanies the annual Hennessy Concert showcasing the world’s most respected classical musicians.

The concert is organised by the Vietnam Performing Arts Centre under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Moet-Hennessy Việt Nam Company.

“With this event, we expect to contribute to the diversity and development of the music industry in Việt Nam by creating a balance between three kinds of music: folk and traditional, classical and modern music for young people,” said Hà Quốc Minh, director of the Vietnam Performing Arts Centre.

One of the highlights of the event will be the performance of DJ artist Victor Bailey from Denmark. He first performed as DJ in 2010 and has taken part in international music festivals and other arts events. He has performed in some ASEAN countries including the Philippines, Singapour, and Thailand. He first performed in Việt Nam at the Countdown arts event to welcome the New Year 2016 in HCM City.

Well-known Vietnamese singers to perform at the event include Thu Minh, Tóc Tiên, Hoàng Touliver, and artist Văn Vui playing the monochord and other traditional instruments.
