ĐÀ NẴNG — Around 72 kids from primary and junior secondary schools in Đà Nẵng are taking part in a painting workshop. The event started yesterday and will last until June 26th.

The city’s Friendship Organizations Union said kids will be able to go on free trips to explore the landscapes and lifestyle of the city and get some inspiration for their paintings.

Over the next two weeks kids will complete paintings to be shown at an exhibition on June 25th at the Union centre at 522 Ông Ích Khiêm street.

The organisers hope the event will provide positive entertainment for kids during summer holidays and foster an appreciation of art among children.

Last week, an exhibition featuring 50 photos and paintings on the theme ‘We Love Sơn Trà and the red-shanked douc langur’, was held to mark Children’s Day at Đà Nẵng City’s Fine Arts Museum.

More than 10,000 students from primary schools in Đà Nẵng have joined field trips and educational events on biodiversity and the red-shanked douc langur at Sơn Trà Nature Reserve. — VNS
