Pop-singer nominated for BAMA

Pop-singer Mỹ Tâm was nominated for the Big Apple Music Awards (BAMA) 2017 alongside with some of Asia music industry’s most notable names such as SNSD, EXO and BTS.

HÀ NỘI — Pop-singer Mỹ Tâm is nominated for the Big Apple Music Awards (BAMA) 2017 alongside with some of Asia music industry’s most notable names such as SNSD, EXO and BTS.

This is the third year in a row the Vietnamese female singer has been nominated for the BAMA with her winning its Best Selling Artist of Asia in 2015.

The 37-year-old singer rose to fame early after winning numerous major singing competition since the age of 16. She is among only a handful singers in Việt Nam who write their own music. A fan club with more than 40,000 members across the country is dedicated to the singer with her concerts often packed. Mỹ Tâm, to this day, remains one of the highest-paid singers in Việt Nam. 

Established in 2004, the awards honours accomplished musicians from Asia, Kavkaz and the Middle-East. This year ceremony is to be held on October 22 in New York. — VNS
