Finland and China waltz into final of Đà Nẵng Fireworks Festival

Finland’s JoHo Pyro Professional Fireworks and China’s Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display – the two latest competitors at the fourth night of the Đà Nẵng International Fireworks Festival 2024 (DIFF) – have qualified for the final of the largest firework festival in Việt Nam.

ĐÀ NẴNG — Finland’s JoHo Pyro Professional Fireworks and China’s Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display – the two latest competitors at the fourth night of the Đà Nẵng International Fireworks Festival 2024 (DIFF) have qualified for the final of the largest fireworks festival in Việt Nam.

The festival’s organising committee officially announced the finalists for their excellent performances in terms of uniqueness, design ideas, how it fits with the title, the diversity and number of fireworks used, colour effects and music.

Musician Nguyễn Đức Trịnh, a member of the festival’s jury board said it was a pity for all the other teams competing in the festival as of them performed brilliantly but only two places were available.

Vice chairman of the city’s people’s committee, Trần Chí Cường, who chaired the meeting on June 30, announced that China team will go first in the final on July 13, while Finland will follow.

Sun Group, the festival’s organisers, invited the two teams coming back to Đà Nẵng on the final night with the best fireworks and technical assistance for the amazing final show.

The festival’s jury board also said the winner will take a cash-prize of US$20,000, while the runner-up will win $10,000.

It said the most favourite team voted by the viewers will be awarded $5,000 and the team with the best innovative technology will get $5,000.

The two finalists will show off their performances along the Hàn River.

Nadia Shakira Wong, director of Global 2000 company, the festival’s consultant, said the preparation for the final had to started immediately for the two teams, who know it will be a challenge but are eager to show their work.

Finland’s JoHo Pyro Professional Fireworks and China’s Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display had the most impressive fireworks art show, ‘Made of Fairy Tales’ on June 29.

Six other teams – Việt Nam, France, the US, Italy, Germany and Poland – also fired up displays as part of the festival. — VNS
