LÂM ĐỒNG — The Tây Nguyên (Central Highlands) province of Lâm Đồng has announced the launching of its annual tourism festival.
The third Lâm Đồng Tourism Golden Week will have the theme of “Lâm Đồng – Điểm Hẹn của Hoa và Âm Nhạc” (Lâm Đồng – A Destination for Flowers and Music), which will take place from May 31 to June 6 in Đà Lạt City and 11 districts.
The event aims to promote the province’s tourism potential and strengths among the community and local and international tourists, contributing to developing it into a safe and friendly destination.
The festival will include major cultural, sports and tourism activities including an opening ceremony with traditional music and dance performances by ethnic minority groups at Lâm Viên Square of Đà Lạt City.
The festival will also feature a cultural space to introduce the music and culture of local ethnic minority groups, as well as the delicious food and beautiful flowers of Lâm Đồng.
The province will host seminars and forums on tourism promotion to introduce the province’s new tourism products and connect local tourism agencies with businesses from other countries.
For sports, Lâm Đồng will launch the Da Lat Music Night Run 2024 around Hồ Xuân Hương Lake on June 1.
The race includes three categories: five kilometre, 10 kilometre, and 20 kilometre.

In addition, the province asks district authorities to introduce new tours to promote traditional crafts of local ethnic minority groups, and activities to celebrate Đà Lạt as the UNESCO Creative City of Music. — VNS
