BẮC NINH -- On December 23, the government and people of Mão Điền commune (Thuận Thành town) inaugurated the renovation project of Miếu Hào relic.
This is a relic associated with two national historical and cultural relics: Mão Điền Đoài communal house and Mão Điền Đông communal house.
According to Divine genealogy and ancient sources, Miếu Hào worships three generals of the Chu family: layman Hồng Chân, layman Uy Minh and layman Võ Chiêu. The three are siblings, sons of the sage Chu Mã Độ. All three of them passed doctorates and became mandarins of the Minister of the Household Ministry during the reign of King Lê Thánh Tông (reigning from 1460 to 1497).

In 1527, when King Lê Chiêu Tông (reigning from 1516 to 1526) left the palace to promulgate the edict "Can Vuong" and gather troops in Kinh Bắc town, three generals of the Chu family stationed their troops in Mão Điền commune, built a communal house and annually held a wrestling festival to recruit soldiers.
After the death of three loyal generals of the Chu family, King Lê granted them the title of Superior God and provided money for the villagers to build a temple.
Currently, the national relics of Mão Điền Đông communal house and Mão Điền Đoài communal house still preserve 31 ordinations from the 28th year of Cảnh Hưng under King Lê Hiển Tông (reigning from 1740 to 1786) to the 9th year of Khải Định under King Nguyễn hoằng Tông (reigning from 1916 to 1925) recording the merits of the Three Great Kings.
Over time, the ancient temple degraded, and the local government and the people of Mão Điền Đoài and Mão Điền Đông villages contributed their efforts and resources to restore it to preserve the homeland's historical and cultural traditions.
After more than four months of construction, Miếu Hào renovation project, with a total cost of nearly US$82,000 contributed by the people, was completed following traditional architecture.
Local people organised a procession ceremony to bring the god from Mão Điền Đoài communal house back to the temple, demonstrating the culture of the Kinh Bắc region and reflecting the fine customs and religious life of the Mão Điền people. VNS
