HÀ NỘI — The event to promote OCOP (One Commune One Product) agricultural products and craft villages in anticipation of the New Year has been held on Hội Xá Street, Phúc Lợi Ward, Long Biên District in Hà Nội.

Organised by the Hanoi Promotion Agency from December 15-18, the objective of the programme was to advertise and promote typical agricultural products from Hà Nội, as well as other provinces and cities. The aim was to stimulate the demand for agricultural and rural production development.

Furthermore, the programme facilitated the connection between the consumption of agricultural products and OCOP items from Hà Nội and other provinces and cities to consumers in the capital. It also served as a platform for manufacturers from various provinces and cities to establish distribution channels in the capital.

This event, taking place towards the end of the year and close to holidays and the Lunar New Year, is a significant agricultural trade promotion event. It attracted the participation of hundreds of businesses, cooperatives, and OCOP entities from across the country, including Lào Cai, Lai Châu, Sơn La, Yên Bái, Phú Thọ, Bắc Giang, and Lâm Đồng, who showcased and introduced their products.

The event was organised to find outlets for agricultural and OCOP products, support businesses and manufacturers in accessing the capital's consumer market, establish business partnerships, expand distribution systems, and tap into the domestic market's potential. It aimed to create a highlight that would stimulate safe shopping towards the end of the year and prepare for the arrival of the new year.

Featuring 90 booths and elaborately decorated display spaces, the event offered the people of the capital and tourists the opportunity to experience, enjoy, and learn about the ancient culinary culture of different localities, regional specialties, and traditional craft village products. Visitors could also learn about Hà Nội cuisine through traditional delicacies such as Mộc An green sticky rice, Ước Lễ pork paste, and Thanh Trì steamed rice rolls. — VNS
