AMSTERDAM Famous Dutch singer Emma Heesters has selected a Vietnamese design for her performance at Muziekfeest van het Jaar musical festival watched by more than 17,000 people.
This is the second time Heesters has selected a dress by Vietnamese designer Nguyễn Minh Tuấn, after the Horizon Gown in 2022 at a party in Dubai.
The sophisticated silver design, which was complimented with long bejeweled stockings and silver dance shoes, adding to her allure and perfectly captured the festive spirit of the year-end celebration.
The fashion designer revealed that the order for her dress was completed within five days.
However, the singer did not share any information about the event or her outfit choice. Therefore, he was surprised to see her in his design at such a grand music festival.
Emma Heesters, born in 1996, is a renowned Dutch singer and actress. She began her music career in 2014 and gained recognition through a series of famous cover songs on her YouTube channel.
Her YouTube channel has amassed 5.88 million subscribers, with numerous English and Dutch music videos that have garnered millions of views.
She became the first Dutch artist to win the MTV Push Award in 2019 for her hit single Pa Olvidarte and was honoured as the Best Dutch Act at the MTV EMA 2020. Heesters was also hailed as one of the top 40 most successful Dutch artists in 2020.
Muziekfeest van het Jaar is one of the largest annual music festivals in the Netherlands, featuring top artists from the country.
This year’s event, held in Ziggo Dome Theatre in Amsterdam on December 8-9, featured leading Dutch artists such as Wolter Kroes, René Karst, Mart Hoogkamer, Tino Martin, Frans Duijts, John West, René Froger, among others.
Tuấn was born in 1992 and graduated as the top student in the Fashion Design major in 2015 at HCM City University of Technology. He has gained fame for his evening gowns designed for beauty queens, runners-up, and contestants in beauty pageants.
Recently, he received orders for over 50 outfits from 13 out of 70 contestants of Miss Grand International 2023 pageant.
Many of the beauty pageant contestants in his designs have shone on stage and crowned as beauty queen like Miss Grand Australia 2023 Mikaela-Rose Fowler, Miss Supranational Caribbean 2023 Andreina Pereira or second runner-up of Miss Universe 2022, Andreína Martínez.
The fashion designer and his team are now busy preparing for the upcoming Miss Earth 2023 organised in Việt Nam and his new collection at Dreams Come True fashion show, scheduled to take place in early 2024. VNS
