HCM CITY — Vocal teacher and singer Ngọc Mai, winner of The Masked Singer Vietnam 2022, has released her latest MV (music video) featuring contemporary folk music.

The work features Theo Em Về Nhà (Returning Home), a song that uses Vietnamese folk melodies by young composer Công Tuyền.

It is part of the singer’s new album featuring Vietnamese songs about flowers and women. The album is expected to be released next year.

Mai worked with her producer, GUNG Production, to record and film the MV with a new style.

Vietnamese dances are used to highlight the song’s theme.

“My MV showcases a love story of tears and smiles with quality music. I hope to infuse my love for Vietnamese folk music to young fans,” said 36-year-old Mai, who began her career in 2002 in Huế City when she was at university.
