Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA), the airline of Sun Group, has officially opened ticket sales for two new direct routes connecting Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City with Seoul, South Korea, with daily round-trip service on each route beginning August 25, 2026.

Following more than three months of strong performance on the Phú Quốc–Seoul route, the addition of these two new international gateways marks the next step in the airline's strategy to deepen connectivity between Vietnam and South Korea, broadening passenger choice while further driving international arrivals to Vietnam's key destinations.

Daily flights to Seoul with attractive launch offers

With both new routes coming online simultaneously, Sun PhuQuoc Airways will operate a total of three direct connections between Vietnam and South Korea from Phú Quốc, Hà Nội, and Hồ Chí Minh City to Seoul, totalling 28 weekly flights.

Expanding the International Network

The full-service dining experience features a hot meal menu blending Vietnamese, Asian, and European flavors, complemented by premium TWG tea, Sun KraftBeer craft beer, and Delingoo coffee.

SPA brings the resort experience from the ground to the sky.

For Sun Signature members, Sun Group's loyalty program, every flight is an opportunity to earn points redeemable for award tickets, checked baggage, and seat upgrades, alongside a full range of privileges across the Sun Group ecosystem. The program's two highest tiers also come with integrated global payment benefits through NCB and Visa, enabling a seamless journey from flight to resort, entertainment, and beyond.

South Korea remains one of Vietnam's most important inbound markets, welcoming approximately 4.3 million Korean visitors in 2025 and over 1.32 million in the first quarter of 2026 alone. In the other direction, the number of Vietnamese travelers visiting South Korea grew by nearly 30% year-on-year a reflection of the increasingly vibrant flow of trade, investment, and tourism between the two countries.

All three of Sun PhuQuoc Airways' Vietnam - Korea routes fly into Incheon International Airport, ranked the world's second-best airport by Skytrax in 2026, offering passengers convenient onward connections to Northeast Asia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

The expansion to Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City is part of SPA's long-term strategy to build a multi-directional international network centered on Phú Quốc. In 2026, the airline will progressively launch new international routes to Phú Quốc from Chengdu (July 16), Singapore (July 25), and Bangkok (August 8), with further expansion into Malaysia, India, Japan, Russia, and Kazakhstan in the pipeline.

SPA has operated the Phú Quốc–Seoul route since April 17.

On the same day, Sun PhuQuoc Airways also opened ticket sales for two new domestic routes strengthening Central Vietnam connectivity: Hà Nội–Dong Hoi (once daily) and Dong Hoi–Nha Trang (three times weekly) effective July 6, 2026, with operations scheduled to begin on August 16, 2026. Passengers booking during the launch period can enjoy a 20% fare discount using the code NEWROUTES.

In parallel, new domestic routes linking Phú Quốc with Da Lat, Can Tho, and Buon Ma Thuot will be developed under a hub-and-spoke model, diversifying the island's source markets and improving accessibility from key economic regions across the country.

To support its rapid capacity growth, SPA is accelerating fleet investment, with the total fleet expected to reach 26 aircraft by the end of August 2026. From September 2026, the introduction of the wide-body Airbus A330 will provide the operational foundation for the airline to progressively realize its "Rise to the World" strategy and strengthen Vietnam's international aviation connectivity.
