Prime Phổ Yên's journey from outside the top 100 companies in previous years to securing a top 10 position in 2024 is a clear example of the group's dedication to sustainability. This success is deeply rooted in the implementation of SCG’s ESG 4 Plus strategy, which focuses on four pillars: Set Net Zero, Go Green, Reduce Inequality, Enhance Collaboration, and Fairness and Transparency. By integrating these principles, Prime Phổ Yên and Prime Group have launched a series of groundbreaking initiatives to optimise production processes and conserve natural resources.
One of the key innovations includes adopting the 4R circular economy model – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Replace – resulting in reduced dependency on raw materials and a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Notably, Prime Phổ Yên, along with other member companies, transitioned from fossil fuels (coal) to biomass fuel and installed heat recovery systems, leading to a 30 per cent reduction in GHG emissions compared to 2020.
Furthermore, initiatives such as recycling and reusing scrap metals have minimised waste and pollution, demonstrating the company’s role as a leader in sustainable transformation.

Prime Group’s sustainability initiatives extend to other member companies as well. The group has excelled in implementing circular economy practices, including recycling plastic waste and reusing materials, both of which have reduced production costs and enhanced environmentally friendly outputs. The company has also introduced wastewater recycling systems, enabling the reuse of 100 per cent of its production wastewater and significantly reducing its environmental footprint.
Other innovations, such as upgrading kiln wall insulation, using IoT for energy optimisation, and employing biomass gasifiers, highlight Prime Group’s efforts to align its operations with Vietnam's net-zero 2050 goals.
These achievements are complemented by the group’s broader mission to balance environmental progress with community impact. Prime Group has consistently prioritised social sustainability, spearheading initiatives that empower communities and improve livelihoods. One programme, ‘Biến giấc mơ thành hiện thực’, has supported over 30 families, helping them overcome poverty and achieve economic stability over the past six years.
Additionally, the ‘Người tốt, việc tốt’ movement, active since 2015, has inspired over 5,000 employees to engage in community service and contribute to social responsibility initiatives.

Prime Group also collaborates with schools to promote waste sorting and offers vocational training programmes for local workers, creating economic opportunities while fostering social inclusion. By addressing both environmental and social issues, the company reinforces its role as a reliable partner for sustainable community development.
The CSI Award 2024 not only recognises Prime Group's efforts but also serves as motivation for the company to continue leading by example in sustainable practices. Through consistent investment in green technology, innovative production methods, and meaningful community initiatives, Prime Group demonstrates how businesses can simultaneously achieve commercial success and contribute to a greener, more equitable future.
