HCM CITY  ManpowerGroup, one of the leading international workforce solution companies, on Thursday launched in HCM City its Experis service which helps employers fill vacancies for highly skilled IT, finance and engineering positions.

Simon Matthews, country manager of ManpowerGroup Việt Nam, Thailand and Middle East, said there “is a big shortage of skilled workers in IT, engineer, and financial sectors.”

Experis will study the market and clients’organisations to help match them with the right highly skilled candidates, he said.

Nguyễn Thu Trang, country head of Permanent Recruitment and Consulting Services at ManpowerGroup Vietnam, said the demand for highly skilled workers is on the rise, especially in IT, in which many firms have difficulty in finding suitable senior candidates.

Matthews also said that in the future ManpowerGroup would work more closely with universities and colleges to tackle the problem of mismatches between educational programmes and actual job demands, open more free online courses, and work on expanding the skilled workforce in Việt Nam.

There is a rising trend for IT positions and new technologies using robots and AI, so candidates and students should stay up-to-date on the newest developments, he added.

ManpowerGroup Việt Nam also signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Training and Education Centre under HCM City University of Science, in which the company will provide soft skills training to Vietnamese students at Auckland University of Technology, a training partner of ITEC.  VNS
