BÀ RỊA-VŨNG TÀU – Nearly 200 staff members of NS BlueScope Vietnam joined in the “Run for Green” campaign on Friday in recognition of World Environment Day and to raise money for scholarships for poor pupils from Long Sơn Commune, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Province.
The 2km run ended with over VNĐ60 million (US2,650) having been raised, and to be divided into 20 scholarships, each worth VNĐ3 million, which were awarded to Long Sơn’s needy pupils.
“We care for the environment and we are committed to the efficient use of resources, preventing pollution and reducing the environmental impact of our operations and products. ’Run for Green’ is part of our unwavering commitment to Việt Nam’s market for decades, and is a manifestation of our ongoing efforts to contribute to the development of Việt Nam’s community,” said NS BlueScope Vietnam’s Country President, Võ Minh Nhựt.
