Prudential Vietnam increases charter capital

Prudential Vietnam has obtained approval from the Ministry of Finance to increase its charter capital to VNĐ4.128 trillion (US$180.57 million).

HCM CITY — Prudential Vietnam has obtained approval from the Ministry of Finance to increase its charter capital to VNĐ4.128 trillion (US$180.57 million).

Besides generally strengthening the company’s financial capacity, the additional capital will also enable it to further invest in enhancing its products and services and expanding its reach across the country.

In recent years, Prudential has seen business expand. In 2017, it reported revenues of VNĐ16.019 trillion, an increase of 20 per cent.

It paid out VNĐ6.261 trillion in insurance settlements.

Its total investment into the economy was VNĐ66.241 trillion, the highest by a life insurance company in the country in 2017.

In line with its long-term business strategies, Prudential has acquired VNĐ5.188 trillion and VNĐ2.1 trillion worth of 30-year and 20-year bonds. — VNS
