CapitaLand Development honored at 2022 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards

HCM CITY – CapitaLand Development from CapitaLand Group clinched ‘Best Housing Development’ and ‘Best Eco-Friendly Housing Development’ for Sycamore, its first large-scale residential property in Việt Nam, at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final 2022 on December 9.

It was for the third straight year that CLD won top honours at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, one of the most sought-after where the region’s finest developers are recognised as the best in Asia.

CLD’s recognition at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards follow its recent awards for ‘Best Housing Development’, ‘Best Residential Masterplan Design’ and ‘Best Eco-Friendly Housing Development’ for Sycamore in October at the 2022 PropertyGuru Việt Nam Property Awards, where CLD also received the ‘Special Recognition for CSR’ award. With a proven track record over 28 years in Việt Nam, CLD remains steadfast in delivering well-designed developments that meet international standards as we strive to be the leading developer of choice.” Sycamore is strategically located in the fast-developing Bình Dương New City in Bình Dương Province, about 30 kilometres from downtown HCM City. With a total area of 18.9 hectares, the prime large-scale residential project is expected to comprise over 3,700 freehold units across a mix of low-, mid- and high-rise developments, providing quality homes to some 13,000 people. Sycamore is slated for launch in Q2 2023, with the first phase to be completed in 2024 and the rest of the project in 2027. With a premium, resort-style design, Sycamore comprises seven enclaves with its own private entrance. Two will offer spacious terraced houses, semi-detached houses and villas with private clubhouses and gardens. Residents who prefer high-rise properties will find themselves at home in the 24-storey towers in four of the enclaves, and each will come with food and beverage and retail outlets such as convenience stores, café, restaurants and spas. The seventh enclave will feature a 10-storey apartment block.

Homeowners will be drawn to Sycamore’s biophilic and sustainable features. The 10,000sq.m central park within the mid-rise development will be ideal for residents to connect or unwind.  Sycamore will also be home to a plethora of green spaces, which will offer ample shade, reduce the ambient temperature and contribute to the overall wellness of residents. Sustainable transport infrastructure will be incorporated to encourage more homeowners to lead sustainable lifestyles.  Sycamore is slated to introduce Bình Dương New City’s first electric vehicle-ready development.  Bicycle lanes and pedestrian-friendly pavements will also be available to encourage residents to leave their cars at home for shorter journeys.  There will also be electric buggies shuttling across the two low-rise residential developments. Rainwater will be collected and recycled for irrigation of the park and other green spaces.  Sycamore is expected to obtain Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies certification from the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group.
