I. Criteria:

  • Being a citizen of a country where English is an official language;

  • Possessing a university degree or higher or equivalent (preferably in journalism, social sciences or international relations); and having at least 2 years of working experience in the field of journalism and communication in countries where the main language is English, certified by the previous employer(s);

Or having at least 3 years of experience and have a practicing certificate suitable for the position of English copy editor.

Or having a work permit suitable for the position of English copy editor.

  • Possessing basic office computer skills and using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and InDesign; experience in producing multimedia products and skills of communicating on social media is preferred.

II. Requirements:

  • Having a health certificate or medical examination certificate issued by a competent foreign or Vietnamese medical agency or organization, still within its 12-month validity period, and meeting the job requirements.

  • Having a criminal record certificate valid for 6 months.

  • Having paid social insurance premiums in Vietnam.

  • Living in Hanoi in order to work in person at Việt Nam News and Law’s newsroom.

  • In the absence of a work permit, Việt Nam News and Law will support application for a work permit provided that the candidate commits to work for the newspaper for at least 2 years.
