An innovative creation by Miss Hoa of the Slavic Tea House in Hà Nội

Baking Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup of cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 cups brown sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- Red food dye
Method:
Mix the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and red food dye. Sift dry ingredients together in a separate bowl, and add to the wet mixture. Bake at 175 degrees Celsius in a square cake tin lined with parchment paper, for 45 minutes.
Icing:
- 1 packet of fondant icing
- Red, green, white food dye
