HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam claimed a silver and a bronze medal at the 23rd South East Asia Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championships in Singapore on Thursday.

Bùi Ngọc Lan and Đỗ Nguyễn Uyên Nhi came second in the cadet girls’ doubles event after losing 8-11, 11-8, 8-11, 5-11 to Malaysia in the final match.

Huỳnh Anh Tuấn and Nguyễn Thanh Tuấn finished third in the cadet boys’ doubles, losing 6-11, 5-11, 11-6, 3-11 to Singapore.

Bùi Ngọc Lan entered the semi-final match of the cadet girls’ singles event.

In the junior events, Phạm Dạ Thảo and Nguyễn Anh Đức booked a berth in the junior girls’ and boys’ singles. — VNS
