Giang loses, Việt Nam out of Thailand event

Việt Nam have no more representative at the Thailand F2 Men’s Futures tennis tournament after Trịnh Linh Giang lost in the quarter-final round match yesterday.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s last representative at the Thailand F2 Men’s Futures tennis tournament, Trịnh Linh Giang, lost his quarter-finals match yesterday.

Giang was defeated 3-6, 6-7 (5) by Australian Harry Bourchier who will play compatriot and No 2 seed Dayne Kelly in his next match.

In other matches, No 1 seed Ti Chen of Chinese Taipei beat No 6 Sidharth Rawat of India, 6-4, 6-2. Chen will face No 3 seed Yannick Jankovits of the Netherlands in the semis. Jankovits beat compatriot Clement Larriere 6-3, 6-4 yesterday.

The tournament will end on Sunday. — VNS
