HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Văn Phương of Việt Nam qualified for the final of the PTT - ITF Junior Grade 5 tennis tournament in Thailand yesterday.

The No 13 seed won 7-6, 6-3 over No 6 Kasidit Samrej of the hosts in the boys’ singles.

He will face No 1 Akanit Pumjit, also from Thailand, in the gold medal match today.

Pumjit earlier defeated his compatriot Yuttana Charoenphon 6-3, 6-4.

The girls’ final will see a match between No 1 Salsa Aher of India and Natasha Sengphrachanh from Canada. — VNS
