Công suspended for three matches

The Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) yesterday decided to suspend midfielder Trần Chí Công of Cần Thơ for three matches as punishment for trampling on midfielder Trương Văn Thái Quý of Hà Nội FC in the round 11 match of the national premier league last Friday.

HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) yesterday decided to suspend midfielder Trần Chí Công of Cần Thơ for three matches as punishment for trampling on midfielder Trương Văn Thái Quý of Hà Nội FC in the round 11 match of the national premier league last Friday.

Along with the suspension, Công was also fined VNĐ20 million (US$870).

Last season, Công was also suspended for five matches due to poor conduct towards referee Duy Lân.

Công has competed as part of the national team seven times. — VNS
