HÀ NỘI — The National Traditional Wrestling Championships kicked off today in Thái Nguyên Province with the participation of 10 delegations.

Athletes will compete in 12 categories of weight, ranging from 48kg to 85kg.

Organisers said wrestlers who won gold and silver medals would be recognised as national masters, while the bronze medalists would be acknowledged as first-leveled masters.

The tournament is among the activities being conducted to promote development of the sport among people.

The championships will end on May 15. — VNS
