HÀ NỘI — Yanmar will continue to be the national football team’s star partner for another two years, following a contract signed at a ceremony yesterday in Hà Nội.

Yanmar, a Japanese diesel engine manufacturer, has been working with the Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) since last March.

“Ever since we have shaken hands with each other, Yanmar has contributed a lot to the national team’s activities. We believe that with Yanmar’s support, the Việt Nam team will enjoy the best conditions to prepare for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup,” VFF General Secretary Lê Hoài Anh said.

Yanmar has provided manpower to improve the artificial turf of the national team’s training field number three and has provided healthy environment solutions at the VFF centre.

Head Coach Nguyễn Hữu Thắng praised Yanmar’s contributions, which reduced his players’ injuries and boosted their enthusiasm during practice.

Yanmar said following the new contract, they would continue to improve two other training fields at VFF and help national clubs, if required.

Yanmar is also an official sponsor of the AFF Cup to be held in November. — VNS
