Cyclists to compete in race along Hàn River

More than 250 cyclists from cycling clubs nationwide will race in the first Cycling Tournament – Asanzo Cup along the Hàn River this Sunday.

Đà Nẵng — More than 250 cyclists from cycling clubs nationwide will race in the first Cycling Tournament – Asanzo Cup along the Hàn River this Sunday.

Chairman of the city’s cycling club Đỗ Anh Tuấn said the race would start from T-bridge in Bạch Đằng Street and wind through Trần Phú, Hàn River Bridge, Trần Hưng Đạo and Võ Văn Kiệt, besides the Rồng (Dragon) Bridge. Each leg will be 5.4km long.

The cyclists will be divided into four groups of 18-39, 40-45 and over-51 age categories, as well as the women’s division. The races will vary between four and six laps.

Foreign residents and students living and working in the city are eligible to participate in the race, which will start at 5.30am on Sunday. The award ceremony will be held at T-Bridge at about 10am. — VNS
