BÌNH DƯƠNG — More than 400 athletes are competing in the National Junior Tennis Championships, the Vietravel Cup 2025 in Bình Dương Province.

The tournament is jointly organised by the Việt Nam Tennis Federation, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Bình Dương Sports Business Jointstock Company.

Athletes from 20 of the country's strongest teams such as HCM City, the Military, Bình Dương, Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng will take part along with players rising clubs like Hiếu Trung, AP Sports and Thành Công - Đắk Lắk.

They will compete in 28 categories for U8 to U18 from June 5-24 at the Bình Dương New City's Community Sports Centre.

Among the title favourites are Đinh Tiến Dũng (Hà Nội) in the boys' U12 category, Tô Bình Nhiên (Hà Nam), Vũ Tuấn Phong (Hà Nội) and Lê Phú Gia (HCM City) in the boys' U14 and Lê Tiến Anh (Military) and Trần Đức Minh (HCM City) in the boys' U16.

VTF General Secretary Nguyễn Hồng Sơn said the tournament was one of key events in the national competition system.

"It plays important role helping VTF experts and coaches find new talented players for national junior and senior sides," Sơn said. We believe that through electrifying matches players will sharpen their skills and strengthen their mentality.” 

Meanwhile provincial leaders expected to popularise Bình Dương as a hub of sport and destination to visit with its typical culture, beautiful sightseeing and friendly people to wider community. VNS
