HÀ NỘI — The Vietnamese women's team have retained their 37th position in the latest FIFA world rankings, remaining the top-ranked side in Southeast Asia despite not playing any matches during the recent FIFA Days schedule for national teams.
In Asia, Việt Nam rank sixth, trailing only Japan, South Korea, Australia, China and North Korea. This current ranking helps Việt Nam maintain their advantage in upcoming international tournaments, confirming their stability and sustainability on the continental stage.
Currently, the Vietnamese team are training in Osaka, Japan, to prepare for the qualifying round of the 2026 AFC Women's Champions League, scheduled to start in Phú Thọ Province on June 29.
Việt Nam are in Group E with the UAE, Guam and the Maldives at the Asian event. They are aiming to lead the group and get an automatic ticket to the finals. — VNS
