HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam has secured eight spots to compete in the finswimming event at the 2025 World Games, as officially announced by the International Diving Federation.

This achievement comes on the heels of the Vietnamese team's impressive performance at the Finswimming World Cup 2024 in Thailand earlier this month, where they won 26 gold medals, 27 silver medals and 16 bronze medals, finishing first in the medal tally. The International Diving Federation recognised this tournament as a qualifying event for the 2025 World Games.

In addition to finswimming, Việt Nam previously earned six spots in other sports, including four in petanque and wushu, as well as women's beach handball.

The World Games is a prestigious sporting event that showcases disciplines not included in the official Olympics programme, attracting athletes of the highest calibre from around the globe. VNS
