ĐỒNG NAI — The National Youth Sepak Takraw Championship has started in Đồng Nai Province.
The event attracted more than 100 athletes from 12 teams across the country. Athletes will compete in 14 events across two age groups, U16 years old and 17-20 years, for both men and women.
The championship, which started on Monday, has been co-organised by the Sports Authority of Việt Nam, Việt Nam Sepak Takraw Federation, and Đồng Nai Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and will run until July 25.
Bùi Thanh Nam, Deputy Director of the Đồng Nai Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the annual event hopes to develop the sport's movement along with contributing to improving the physical and mental health of young people. VNS
