Việt Nam top medal tally at Southeast Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam emerged victorious at the Southeast Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2024, which end on Sunday in Laos.

The Vietnamese athletes dominated the event, securing nine gold, nine silver and six bronze medals, placing them at the top of the medal table.

The gold medallists for Việt Nam were Lê Hồng Phong (Bodybuilding, Men's 60kg), Nguyễn Trọng Khánh (bodybuilding, men's 75kg), Nguyễn Văn Quang (bodybuilding, ages 50-60), Tạ Phúc Nhật Tân (men's fitness), Châu Nguyên Khá (classic bodybuilding, height up to 1.67m), Tạ Phúc Nhật Tân (classic bodybuilding, height up to 1.67m), Lê Vinh Kha (classic bodybuilding, height over 1.75m), Hà Thị Thanh Trang (classical bodybuilding, over 1.65m), Trần Thị Thanh Tâm and Chuyên Nguyên Kha (mixed doubles).

This year's championship saw the participation of 120 athletes from nine countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Timor Leste, and Myanmar.

Việt Nam had also topped the medal tally at the previous edition of the Southeast Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship, held in 2023. VNS
