BÌNH ĐỊNH -- The 2024 Teqball World Series will be held in Bình Định Province from June 6-9.
Athletes from 50 countries and regions will take part in the competition in Quy Nhơn City, competing in men's singles and doubles and mixed doubles.
The provincial People's Committee said hosting of the tournament is an impressive highlight for locals and international friends.
It would help bring beautiful images of Bình Định to the world and attract foreign investment in different sectors, especially tourism, contributing to socio-economic development and raising the country's position in the international arena.
Teqball was first played in Hungary in 2014 and has impressed many people. It is a ball sport that is played on a curved table, combining elements of sepak takraw and table tennis. Back and forth, the players hit the ball with any part of the body except arms and hands. Teqball can be played between two players as a singles game or between four players as a doubles game.
The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) is currently home to more than 150 country federations. There are more than 4,000 clubs over the world. FITEQ organised five World Cup in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023. VNS
