Phát, Đăng hunt Olympic points at Kazakhstan International Challenge

Lê Đức Phát is one of two Vietnamese players taking part in the Condensate Kazakhstan International Challenge 2024 from April 2-6 in Uralsk.

HÀ NỘI — Lê Đức Phát and Nguyễn Hải Đăng will compete in the Condensate Kazakhstan International Challenge 2024 in Uralsk.

Both will take part in the men's singles event beginning on April 3.

Phát is No 7 seed and will play Fabio Caponio of Italy while Đăng will face a qualifier No 4 in the first round matches.

The finals are schedule on April 6.

According to the Việt Nam coaching board, the players are to collect points for their world ranking from this event as both are racing to win a place in the Paris Olympics. The duo is expected to have positive results in Uralsk.

Previously, they took part in an international event in Thailand but were eliminated from the early round.

After Kazakhstan, Đăng will join the national No 1 female player Nguyễn Thùy Linh at the Asian championship from April 9-14 in Ningbo, China.

Đăng will play Viren Nettasinghe of Sri Lanka in the first match while Linh will see Japanese Aya Ohori. VNS
