Việt Nam’s archer Lê Phương Thảo will compete with Singaporean athlete Contessa Loh Tze Chieh in the final of the single three-string bow event for women.

Thảo successfully gained 142 points while her Singaporean opponent got 137 in the individual three-string bow event. Both players advanced to the final round to compete in the three-string bow event.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese archer Nguyễn Thị Hải Châu also advanced to the semi-final in the single three-string bow event.

In the men's single three-string bow, archer Nguyễn Văn Đầy lost in the semi-finals, while his compatriot Trần Trung Hiếu also failed to make it.

On May 16, the competition continued in the quarter-finals and semi-finals for the three-string bow for both the men's and women's teams and mixed doubles events.

In the women's team three-string bow, the trio of women’s archers Nguyễn Thị Hải Châu, Lê Phương Thảo, and Lê Phạm Ngọc Anh overcame Malaysian archers with a score of 225-219.

Meanwhile, Thailand’s women's team beat the Philippines with a score of 226-209.

The Việt Nam’s women will meet the Thais in the final.

In the men's team three-string bow, the Filipino archers beat the Vietnamese trio Trần Trung Hiếu, Nguyễn Văn Đầy, Nguyễn Minh Quy 228-226.

In the men's and women's three-string bow event, Vietnamese archers Trần Trung Hiếu –Nguyễn Thị Hải Châu also stopped in the semifinals. They will compete in the bronze medal match only.

On May 17, the archers will continue to compete in the round of 16, quarter-finals, and semi-finals in the single one-string bow event for men and women, duo and the men's and women's team.
