Teacher shortage

As English has become more and more popular in Việt Nam as a foreign language, training centres have sprung up in major cities like Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City. But for many schools in disadvantaged areas like Hà Giang, there is a severe lack of teachers. In some primary schools, as many as 70 children have to cramp into a small class to join online lessons led by teachers based elsewhere. A lot more needs to be done to ensure equal opportunity for all and no student is left behind.
