HÀ NỘI — The northern region and the area from Thanh Hoá Province to Thừa Thiên Huế Province are experiencing scorching heat spells with some places recording temperatures of more than 40 degrees Celsius.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF), on Friday and Saturday, these areas have the highest temperatures of 36-39 degrees Celsius with some exceeding 40 per cent and humidity at 40-60 per cent.

The area from Đà Nẵng to Phú Yên is also hot and extremely hot in some places with the highest temperatures hitting 35 to 37 degrees Celsius and even higher.

From June 4, the heat in the northern region and the area from Thanh Hoá Province to Thừa Thiên Huế Province will cool down.

In Hà Nội, it is cloudy and hot in the daytime with no rain expected at night. The lowest temperature is from 28-30 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature is 36-38 degrees Celsius with some places exceeding 38 degrees Celsius.

In the area from Đà Nẵng City to Bình Thuận Province, it is sunny and hot in the daytime and there are showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening in some places.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.

The lowest temperature is from 26-29 degrees Celsius; the highest temperature from the North 35-37 degrees with some places exceeding 37 degrees Celsius. — VNS
