QUẢNG NINH — A group of 240 South Korean experts of LG Company arriving on Asiana Airlines flight number OZ7747 from Incheon City have been kept in isolation after arriving at Vân Đồn International Airport in the northern province of Quảng Ninh on Thursday.
It was the seventh flight transporting South Korean experts to Việt Nam under the two countries’ special agreement, given that Việt Nam has effectively banned all foreign entries into the country since mid-March to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
There have been 19 flights from South Korea with more than 3,600 passengers landing at Vân Đồn International Airport since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The South Koreans had their entry procedures done outside the airport’s terminal to avoid possible cross-transmission to other passengers and airport staff. They were asked to declare their health status and transferred to a quarantine area for medical monitoring for 14 days.
Phạm Ngọc Sáu, director of Vân Đồn Airport, said they had developed a process to ensure safety for passengers flying to and from the airport, following instructions of Việt Nam Aviation Authority and the Vietnamese Government.
