HÀ NỘI —  All incoming travellers to Việt Nam will face a mandatory centralised quarantine for 14 days from March 21.

The move was made at the request of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, said Deputy Minister of Transport Lê Anh Tuấn.

The measure does not apply to entrants for diplomatic and official purposes but they must isolate themselves at their places of residence under the supervision of local authorities, he said.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Việt Nam is responsible for informing international airlines that incoming flights to Việt Nam have to land at Vân Đồn (Quảng Ninh Province), Cần Thơ (Cần Thơ City), and Phú Cát (Bình Định Province) and other airports due to the limited capacity of Nội Bài and Tân Sơn Nhất international airports.

All passengers will have to complete a mandatory medical declaration form before arriving in Việt Nam and be subject to body temperature screening before entering terminals. — VNS
