BẮC NINH — The Bắc Ninh City Farmers' Association recently organised a live-streaming event to showcase, promote and sell over 300 agricultural produce and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) items via digital platforms.
The Bắc Ninh City Safe Agricultural Produce Market 2026 was organised with the theme "The essence of Bắc Ninh Produce: Aspiring to reach new heights".
A highlight of the event was the direct presentation of products by the farmers themselves, who shared insights into production processes, quality standards and product identification methods, while connecting with consumers through online sales.
Broadcast across multiple platforms, the programme expanded promotional and sales channels for cooperatives, farming households and businesses.
The event featured over 300 products from rural areas in Bắc Ninh, as well as from Hà Nội and Hưng Yên, Sơn La, Thái Nguyên and Phú Thọ provinces.
The showcased items were diverse, ranging from traditional foods, agricultural produce, medicinal herbs, and natural products to OCOP-certified goods, handicrafts and traditional craft village products.
Notable products included glutinous rice, chưng cake, rice paper wrappers, peanut brittle, honey, turmeric starch, vermicelli, Tây Yên Tử bamboo shoots, Dành mountain ginseng, Lục Trúc bamboo shoots, dried lychees, dried longans, guavas and Phù Lãng ceramics.

The products met standards such as VietGAP and organic certification and featured traceability, with information provided about their production regions and the producers themselves. Through live-streaming, consumers can interact directly with sellers, learn about product origins and quality and place orders.
Speaking at the event, Nguyễn Hoàng Trung, chairman of the Bắc Ninh City Farmers' Association, said that alongside the city’s development, farmers are gradually modernising their production and business methods.
“They are proactively adopting science and technology, developing urban, ecological and circular agriculture, and participating in digital transformation,” he said.
Trung said the association will continue to encourage members to pursue safe agricultural practices, improve product quality, build brands, and apply technology to both production and sales.
“We will also assist farmers in standardising packaging and labeling, implementing traceability systems, and gradually familiarising themselves with online sales channels,” he said.
Bringing agricultural products onto digital platforms not only expands promotion and sales avenues but also enables producers to connect directly with consumers and better understand market demand.
