According to the Thái Nguyên provincial hydro-meteorological station, prolonged heavy rain caused by Typhoon No. 4 has triggered localised flooding in some urban and low-lying areas, at river and stream crossings, and in riverside communities.

There are also risks of flash floods along rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and roadside embankments, and land subsidence in areas with unstable soil or ongoing construction projects.

Amid the complicated flooding situation, the provincial hydro-meteorological station on August 24 has raised the flood disaster risk warning to level two.
